The Story

Healing Evolution Co., Ltd, is a company created for healing individuals and communities. With a background in cultural anthropology, I am doing applied design to assist tribal groups and the surrounding communities in meeting essential needs for food supply. The programs are designed to assist local businesses to welcome, and provide food and shopping needs for tribal members, also integrating the lives of the tribes with the lives of the surrouonding village.

This specific fund will provide for the tribe for a six month period. It will include an order from Makro twice a month for every family, and a home cooked meal provided twice a month with ingredients and foods that are rarely experienced. Not only are certain foods a new experience for the tribes, but they will be welcomed, talked with, and supported in all their needs as the join with the external community. The social aspect of the program is proving to be just as important and the nutritional aspects.

At the start of this project, I listened to people in tears not knowing how they are going to find food in the upcoming days. Since we began, we have seen the elderly walk long distances to get a hot meal themselves and meet the people who are providing for them. It was so heartwarming to see tears of thankfulness and hope. We are not just providing food. We are also providing hope, love, social support and community for those who have considerable alterations to their lifestyle. These tribes have had to relocate on land, change their lifestyle with many legal restrictions for resource attainment, and have not yet developed much for social ties within the larger community. They are incredibly grateful for the outreach, food, and social relations.

Although we have ongoing talks of ways to sustainably develop or provide new infrastructures to increase the quality of life, the primary immediate concern is for nutrition and health. Most places in the world have food bank or donation services to redistribute to those who have been disadvantaged beyond their control. We hope to find ways that the tribes can enjoy to live and increase their resources through desired sustainable development. In the meantime, we are making the foundational effort of connection, communication, and sharing for well-being as we support each other as a diverse community.
