The Story

As a gay man from the UK, currently living in Thailand, I see that there are a disproportionate nnumber of gay men struggling to make a living in low paid employment with poor future prospects. At the same time there is overwhelming, unmet demand, for professionals in the fields of IT, Finance, Legal and Management, yet gay men have little access to these postitions through lack of confidence, lack of education and discrimination.

The Gay Advocacy Group seeks to find commercial sponsors to support post education occupational training specifically for this minority demographic, mentors and trainers to help provide the confidence and practical training to our members.

We first need to form into a legitimate foundation under Thai law and start campaigning for donations from our target sponsors. The establishment costs and initial round of marketing expenses will be in the region of 500,000 THB so we are seeking to raise this amount.

Rather than being a charity and simply burning money on direct assistance to people in need (which is handled by many other competent organisations) we aim to use your dontains to create somethign that will live on past the initial spend, create a momentum of it's own and generate income through training fees and employment placement fees.

If you are a gay individual, an organisation that wishes to support a free society, address discrimination and promote the development of individuals in lasting careers, then we value your assitance.
