Hello everyone.
I would like to make an appeal for help, for whoever might be willing.
The Lord has blessed us so much since moving to Chiang Mai. He blessed with a very nice house at an affordable rate, in a town where we can do pretty much everything we need, except for passports and things of that nature. He has continually provided for all of our needs, and for that, we are very thankful.
That being said, moving here was a challenge. When I turned in my resignation to my school back in Khon Kaen, I told them that I would be willing to continue until April 1, when the school term ended. However, as my previous contract was made before Covid, it was only until February 28; the school year would normally have finished by that time. Due to Covid, however, the school year started about two months late, and thus it wasn't scheduled to finish until April. The sum of the matter is that my school did not want to extend my contract for another month, meaning that I had no salary in March. As He always does, the Lord provided for our needs, and we are grateful for that.
Recently, we have had a bit of hardship. Our family in the Philippines had an emergency and needed some help, so we sent them as much money as we could. We still had enough money for the month, but we have run into other challenges, such as the air conditioner in our house malfunctioning, leaving our house very hot. We were able to get another air conditioner installed, but we still have to fix the other one. We made an agreement with the owner of our house to fix the broken air conditioner instead of paying the rent. We are very thankful that she agreed to that.
But all of this lives us with little money to get through June. I will receive my monthly salary on May 31, but that goes towards our car, utilities, travel, etc. We won't have much left for food or for other expenses.
My wife was recently hired at a school, and once she starts receiving salary, we'll be ok. We just need to get through until the end of July.
So we appeal to any of you who read this: if God moves upon your heart to help us, then we would be very grateful. We know that there are many out there who have needs, and we do not wish to take advantage of anyone.
