Emergency Medical Care for Richard

I thought I was going to lose my best friend.

Richard is my 14-year-old cat and my family. For the last four years we have managed his severe asthma together, but a few weeks ago everything changed. He suddenly struggled to breathe, and after several emergency visits he was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

Watching him fight for every breath was the most frightening experience of my life.

At the hospital he spent several days receiving oxygen therapy, nebulization, intensive medications, chest X-rays, and echocardiography. During his hospitalization, the specialists also discovered hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), making his treatment much more complex.

The most heartbreaking moment of my life was watching him fight for every breath.

Thankfully, the treatment worked.

Today Richard is finally home. Seeing him sleep peacefully again after weeks of fear has been an incredible gift. He still needs medications, follow-up examinations, and ongoing monitoring by the cardiologist and respiratory specialists to keep him stable.

To save Richard's life, I used my entire monthly salary to pay his hospital bills. I have exhausted my savings and now I am struggling to afford both his continued medical care and my basic living expenses.

I am not asking for luxury or comfort. I am simply asking for help giving Richard the chance to continue living the life he fought so hard to keep.
