Happy Tails Sanctuary Koh Samui
Francoise arrived in Thailand 12 years ago with only her luggage and her 4 Belgian cats. She had no idea at that time that her life would totally change! She has always shared her home with Dogs & Cats, she’s been an animal lover since she was a young child when she would bring home stray cats she would find on the streets. She was lucky that her mother was also an animal lover. Upon coming to Thailand she was devastated to discover the state of so many forgotten animals living alone on the streets. She could not ignore the plight of these lost souls. She started to help street dogs & cats with food, water, treatments for fleas & ticks, dewormng, medication for wounds and infections and of course sterilization. Unfortunately what these animals most needed was safe and loving place they could call home, so she took one home, then another, and another, next thing she knew she was running a sanctuary! She now has 100 animals in her full time care, most live in the main house with her, some reside in the volunteer house and others are still living on the streets but cared for by Francoise. Francoise receives no government or corporate funding, she fully funds her work alone and relies on donations from animal lovers across the globe. Veterinary bills have been building up lately and the covid situation is hard on donations and sponsorships. Because of travel restrictions volunteers are not available anymore so she needs to pay staff which she has no budget for. So all Francoise wants for her 60 th birthday is financial support so she can continue her work towards animals in need and provide a warm and loveable home them. Thank you for helping her

The Story

She now has 45 dogs and 20 cats in her full time care, most live in the main house with her, some reside in the volunteer house and others are still living on the streets but cared for by Francoise.

Francoise receives no government or corporate funding, she fully funds her work alone and relies on donations from animal lovers across the globe.

The sanctuary is currently suffering financial hardship and Francoise is in desperate need of funds to continue her life saving work.

INTERNATIONAL RE-HOMING

We have 20 dogs that are ready to be re-homed overseas, and we have homes lined up for them in Sweden and Canada. However we have no money to pay for the travel boxes, tests, and paperwork needed on our end to get the dogs ready for transport.

These dogs deserve a better life in their new and loving homes overseas and it will open up new places at Happy tails for sick and suffering street dogs.

Cost will vary by dog but we estimate we will need at LEAST 110,000 Baht (2,860 Euros)
