Help us kickstart Creative & Responsible Tourism in Chumphon! 

Our aim is to equip entrepreneurs with the set of knowledge and tools to empower them on their journey to creative and responsible tourism. Every donation counts as a step closer to sustainability! 

Why is Creative & Responsible Tourism important?

Creative & Responsible Tourism is tourism that inspires creativity among travelers and hosts; and encourages responsibility and respect towards the local community, environment, culture, and economy. The principle not only enriches the local communities, but also helps in the preservation of cultures, making them sustainable and everlasting.  

Our Story

We are a team of students who are interested in creating sustainability in tourism in Thai communities. To begin our journey, we decided to partner with a community leader in Chumphon, a province in the South. After connecting with our chosen community, the Tha Sae tourism network, we immediately got to work. 

So far we have traveled to Tha Sae 2 times. The first time was to connect and empathize with our partners; to study the context and see what their needs are. After coming back, we gradually developed our understanding of the needs of the network members. The second time was then conducted to test our prototype in which we try to answer to their needs and consolidate our understanding; while also strengthening our relationship with our partners. 

Today

As a result of our visits, together with experts and passionate leaders of tourism in Chumphon, we have refined our prototype into a comprehensive guidebook that will be the access point to creative and responsible tourism. Any entrepreneur who picks up the guide will have, in their hands, the knowledge and the opportunity to start doing creative and responsible tourism, and build sustainability that begins from their own businesses. This guidebook will soon be delivered to the network members and anyone who’s interested as we head to Chumphon one more time to join the Chumphon Community Tourism Festival.

On May 2, 2024, we had the privilege of participating in the Chumphon Community Tourism Festival, where we distributed over 20 guidebooks to farmers, entrepreneurs, and others passionate about responsible and creative tourism. We are excited to share this guidebook with anyone interested in advancing tourism in Thailand. If you'd like a copy, it's available for download on our website below (the guidebook is in Thai).

Our goal with this guidebook is to provide valuable insights and serve as a tool to empower community members and entrepreneurs in their tourism endeavors. We hope it will inspire new ideas and help create activities that cater to the needs of individuals, the environment, and the community. This guidebook is just a starting point, but we believe it can play a meaningful role in the development of future attractions.
