Our donation campaign has ended. Thank you to everyone who helped us to support AAR Japan!!!
Hello! We are K2 Joy, a kindergarten class in Bangkok. We are studying about Japan for our Project Based Learning unit. As part of our learning, we are learning about why Japan is prone to many types of natural disasters (it is due mostly to its location on 4 different tectonic plates.)
We will take action with what we learned by making posters to fundraise for an organization called AAR Japan (https://aarjapan.gr.jp/en/what-we-do/disaster/), which provides disaster relief and rebuilding support when there is a natural disaster in Japan.
We have been in contact with AAR Japan, and they are expecting this donation! They are also monitoring this donation website for accountability and transparency.
Thank you so much for your interest in supporting the students in becoming global citizens. We are already such an international group with a homeroom teacher from America (me), an assistant teacher from the Philippines and students from Thailand and China. Still, it is important to reach beyond our classroom and actively meet the needs of our neighbors.
Most importantly, thank you for your compassion for those who have been struck by disaster through no fault of their own.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Teacher Morika and K2 Joy
