The Story

Screenshot's story began in September 2019. At its opening, it was described as a screening room, where you not only appreciate a series of curated film programs in one of the most beautiful and historical undergrounds of Prague, but Screenshot offers you much more.

Created and founded by Payam Razi, a directing graduate from FAMU and without any ties to financial institutions, Screenshot started its mission by screening a program of 50 masterpieces of Czech cinema, followed by exhibitions, music events, and film festivals. Screenshot also hosted thousands of guests at its bars, offering them a unique cinematic menu.

Why this campaign?

In just six months after its birth, with a strong belief in its slogan "Come for the movie, Stay for the community" Screenshot screened over 70 films, participated in and organized 3 film festivals, and held many concerts and parties.

And just as this young dream was successfully climbing the ladder toward its promising future, the pandemic shook the world and left Screenshot without its community.

Unable to receive governmental support as Screenshot was a newly founded establishment and due to the lack of financial resources in a world of uncertainty, our mission was put to a halt shortly after we began this journey.

But we didn't stop there. With the hope of better days to come, we began to renew and remodel our space, improve our designs, and prepared ourselves for the day that we can continue what we started.

Now, as our world is slowly returning to us and as we all are eager to restore the way of life we have missed for a long time, Screenshot is more than ready to be back. But sadly, due to its current financial situation and without your support and donations, it is unable to do so!
