I am writing on behalf Chalisa Kaewsupan. Chalisa has been battling cancer for the last two years.
At first she was diagnosed with s scalp skin cancer of the aggressive type.
After several kind of treatments including laser therapy, radiation therapy and chimiotherapy and after exhausting our savings in hospital bills, thanks to you all of you, friends, with your generous donations, she finally was able to start a new treatment called cells targeted therapy. The treatment worked beautifully on her and she was as last declared skin cancer free by her doctor last January.What a relief, what a joy for Chalisa !
She is so grateful to all of you, always thankful for the financial aid the moral support you have given her through your donations.
Unfortunately the joy was short. She started complaining of abdominal pain in February and had a MRI taken of her abdomen.
In fact, her scalp cancer before being erased, had time to metastasize and spread to her digestive track, invading her colon.
Her doctor then has prescribed a round of 20 times of targeted therapy as the previous treatment for skin cancer was successful.
This approach for treating cancer is rather new and is very promising. Not like chimiotherapy which blindly destroys cancerous and healthy cells at the same time, the new drug makes antibodies stop particular proteins from binding to cancer cells and doing so block the cancer cells to divide and grow.
Unfortunately the drug is very costly too. Without your generous donations , Chalisa won't be able to financially cover those expenses.
