NaJomtien Soi Dog rescue is a community project set up by local people to help the soi dogs in our local area. With the help of local sponsors, hotel businesses, Animal Army and the local council, we managed to vaccinate and sterilise nearly 200 dogs over the last 3 years in between Soi 6 and Soi 20 in NaJomtien. But there is still a lot of work to do as we have many youngs in the area that need to be sterilised again urgently. We can only do this with your help. Every donation will go integrally to cover vaccination and sterilisation costs and health care for seriously ill dogs. Thank you all for making this happen. We really can make a difference!

The Story

In 2022, in the middle of COVID lockdown, there was a rabies outbreak in Pattaya. Due to the lockdown, lots of dogs were hungry, in poor health or abandoned by their owners and lots of dog in our area were in need of proper health care. With the help of neighbours, local businesses, the local council and most importantly Animal Army, I set up a fundraising to sterilise and vaccinate the dogs in our local area. We managed to raise over 40 000 Baht and sterilised and vaccinated over 80 dogs in between Soi 10 and Soi 16.

A massive effort but 1.5 years later we had lots of young dogs and new dogs again in the area so we organised another successful sterilisation action. Even with the support of many locals who have sterilised dogs on private initiative, we have about 40-50 young dogs again that urgently need to be sterilised. Every sterilised dog means a better chance for the dogs who are already living in our streets as there are so many dogs living in a small area, who need food and health care.
