One Mask One Hope

One Mask One Hope is a campaign host to provide free face masks to poor income families in SouthEast Asia. This will greatly provide them comfortable protection to continue their daily routine such as work and studies.

With the occurrence of COVID-19, It is mandatory for everyone in SouthEast Asia to wear a face mask when they are heading outdoors. This mandatory rule has created inconvenience to lower income families. There has been a recent surface of stories and news on families recycling used face masks due to their incapability to afford them. The heart wrenching fact is that the poors couldn’t even afford health protection to themselves and resort to this move is to mainly prevent themselves from receiving government fines, they are worried more about being fine than their personal health. Such an environment shouldn’t exist.

This idea was inspired by Singapore. All Singaporeans were given free reusable face masks from their government. This allowed Singaporeans to better focus on other important things such as bouncing back into their economy rather than being worried about their personal healthcare protection. The lower income families in SouthEast Asia do not have such luxury and they are suffering because of it. 

As we are approaching monsoon season, surrounding temperature is getting colder, this weather is a thriving environment for the virus. This will further increase the infection rate due to their incapability to protect themselves. As a concern entrepreneurs, we felt that it is only right for everyone to have access to right protection against Covid-19, especially to the poor income group of families. This will also enable countries to bounce back to build on their economy. 

The concept of this fundraising is about doing simple charity work for the poor. Our plan is to use this same free masks concept from Singapore and apply them in SouthEast Asia. 

This campaign will be partnering with MPlusTA, a company who heavily focus in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) that manufactures reusable masks with Micron+ membrane technology that attained US nelson lab BFE 99%. The mask that they will be receiving is the first BFE 99% (Bacteria Filtration Efficiency) reusable mask in Asia.

Our goal is to achieve $50,000 SGD to bring 10,000 masks to them. For every $5 SGD, we will be able to produce a mask for them. With just $5 SGD donated, you can make a big difference for them. They will get the protection they need against this situation. The donation of each mask is inclusive of the logistic arrangement needed to reach out to the needs from the manufacturing site to SouthEast Asia. 

10,000 masks = Estimated 10 schools of students to receive free masks!!!

Covid-19 has brought upon many difficulties to many people and we sincerely want to bring this sunshine of hope to the poor income families.
