Please Help us Build a Football Field & Recycling Station for the People of Koh Payam

My name is A'Wud Talayluek.   I am Moken Sea Gypsy living on Koh Payam.  Our small community consists of Thai, Moken & Burmese people all living and working side by side.  Currently we do not have anywhere get together and play football.  Sport creates lasting friendships and encourages health and wellbeing.  In the future we hope to expand and build more facilities for our community.

I have land to build an outdoor football field with solar lights so we can play anytime.  It will be open to anyone including visitors to our island to use and will be managed and maintained by the Moken Men & Women.

We will promote plastic free events & have a recycling station for plastic bottles & cans.

Your donation will go directly to support all those young people on Koh Payam who value a healthy lifestyle choice, enjoy engaging in exercise & meeting likeminded people from neighboring islands and communities.

We have also now installed the solar panels.  This will provide enough electricity so we can play football in the evening as well as run our restaurant in the future.  Its sll about making our project sustainable and self sufficient.

We are so excited to let all of you know the clearing & leveling of our football field is complete...at a cost of 130,000 baht.  We have also purchased solar panels.  We plan to make entire project self sufficient & sustainable.  Next we will plant the grass and construct the netting to go around the field.

Big plans for future including restaurant & some small bungalows !!!!!  Thank you to everyone who is making our dream a reality !!!!!!!
