BEES Elephant Foundation

BEES Elephant Foundation was established to improve welfare for the elephants and animals in Thailand and to support Community based initiatives that work to meet the needs of the elephants, animals and the communities that live and work with them. The Foundation works to: - raise funds to rescue and rehabilitate working elephants and establish alternatives and solutions that meet the needs of both the elephants and their owners. - to support elephants through raising awareness and educating locals and foreigners of the elephant situation in Thailand - to research and implement initiatives that help to regrow forests and protect wild elephants and wildlife (e.g. planting trees, outside of the classroom education, clean up days, recycling) - to raise funds and awareness of compassionate care, to rescue, rehabilitate and provide shelters and support to domesticated animals that have been abandoned or are from poverty stricken families (to sterilize, vaccinate and provide care either in shelters or through local clinics, mobile clinic house visits, establishing animal hospitals and care centres) - to promote, support and create community based projects ( providing local employment, English education programs, Thai Massage and to support eco-tourism etc) LOVE, RESPECT, PROTECT. Working to make a positive difference. One step at a time.

The Story

BEES Elephant Foundation not only supports elephants but also supports the local animals and community.

In the town of Maechaem where BEES Elephant Foundation supports BEES Elephant Sanctuary they also support a small project run through BEES Sanctuary called, BEARS - Burm and Emily's Animal Rescue and Shelter which cares for sick and injured animals in the community and providing a home to homeless animals. They also run outreach programs in the community.

By donating towards vaccinations you will be saving lives, this time of year the risk of contracting disease/virus is high. We have had Distemper and Parvo outbreaks in the area.

In the main picture you will see little pup Salabow, he had bloody mucous coming from his nose, he was suffering from Parvo and died later that day. There was nothing we could do to save him. Animals MUST be vaccinated for protection!

A donation of 200 Baht can get a dog vaccinated with a Combo vaccine against 6 virus' and a Rabies Vaccination.
