Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort will be hosting a charity run to raise money for The NAT Association, a charity that provides support for orphaned children.
From November 14th to November 15th 2019, the team at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort will be organising in a charity run in support of The NAT Association and to promote Accor’s Planet 21 programme. The run will cover 140 kilometres, beginning at Sarasin Bridge in Phuket at 4pm and ending at the NAT Association at 10am the next morning. All proceeds from will go towards supporting the association’s work.
The NAT Association is a charity that was founded in 2005 by Elisabeth and Jean-Claude Zana who lost their daughter, Natacha, in the 2004 tsunami that devastated Southeast Asia. The association provides help for children orphaned by natural disasters, particularly through education programmes. The charity’s schools currently provide education for over 220 students, ensuring all have the chance to lead fulfilling lives in the future.
The Sofitel team, including Vincent Durier, Resident Manager, Steven Poirier, Beverage Manager, and other staff will be participating. Moreover, hotel ambassadors, children and families are invited to run the last 5 kilometres. After the run, a memorial tree will be planted, followed by lunch, fun games, and a live ‘Frozen’ show for the children provided by the Sofitel team. The run is one example of the resort’s ongoing commitment to CSR events, as it is part of the Accor ethos to support local communities.
