The Story

I have some wonderful friends who live in the Klong Toey Community, the biggest slum community in Bangkok- they are the passionate co-founders of Second Chance Bangkok.

Second Chance Bangkok is a second hand shop run by residents of Bangkok's largest slum, Klong Toey.

The shop sells second-hand goods and sells them at affordable prices, or passes them on to people who lack the resources to purchase essential items. They rely on donations for their stock, and therefore their ability to support local residents.

Sadly, during this heartbreaking time, the forced closures have meant there is no income those working at Second Chance, which is having a domino effect on the community.

Whilst so many of us are so lucky, that in this time we are safe and healthy in our own homes, with consistent income, with all our comforts, we need to remember that those living so close to us, are not in this fortunate situation.
