The Story

In July 2025, Bloomsbury International School, Hatyai, were deeply saddened to find out about the passing of one of our beloved students. She was a brave, courageous young girl called Sofia who never failed to bring happiness and kindness to all of those around her.
Sofia showed extreme bravery, resilience and strength throughout her life, all of which I need to show to complete this challenge in her memory whilst also raising money for her families chosen charities. The charities have been chosen by Sofia's family and are Songhkla Children's Welfare Charity and Hatyai Hospitals Children's Cancer unit.

On June 25th 2026, the challenge will be running from Bloomsbury International School, Hatyai to Krabi, Ao Nang. This distance is approximately 290km and consists of different terrains and challenges (34 degrees heat being one of them!). Myself, Nick Hindle and Matthew Moore (two other teachers at the school) plan to have 10 running/walking days averaging 29km per day and 2/3 rest days along the way.

Please donate anything you can to these two great charities who can help support children in similar situations to Sofia.

และกองทุนโรคมะเร็งในเด็กโรงพยาบาลหาดใหญ่
ในวันที่ 25 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2569
ภารกิจครั้งนี้จะเริ่มต้นจากโรงเรียนนานาชาติบลูมส์เบอรี - หาดใหญ่
ไปยังอ่าวนาง จังหวัดกระบี่ รวมระยะทางประมาณ 290 กิโลเมตร
ซึ่งประกอบด้วยสภาพภูมิประเทศที่หลากหลายและความท้าทายหลายประการ
(รวมถึงอุณหภูมิสูงถึง 34 องศาเซลเซียส) กระผม พร้อมด้วยคุณนิค ฮินเดิล
และคุณแมทธิว มัวร์ (ครูอีกสองท่านของโรงเรียน)
วางแผนที่จะใช้เวลาในการวิ่ง/เดินจำนวน 10 วัน เฉลี่ยวันละประมาณ 29
กิโลเมตร และมีวันพักระหว่างทางอีก 2–3 วัน
กระผมจึงใคร่ขอความอนุเคราะห์จากท่านร่วมบริจาคตามกำลัง
เพื่อสนับสนุนองค์กรการกุศลทั้งสองแห่ง ซึ่งจะสามารถช่วยเหลือเด็ก ๆ
ที่อยู่ในสถานการณ์คล้ายคลึงกับโซเฟียต่อไป
