The disappearing Thai’s game

The disappearChase racing or Flag-race is a Thai’s game which is unable to show exactly information about the development over time due to the fact was telling by action not writing so, it is hard to record the right source but we still found some around in early Rattanakosin fifth year ago that they held the chase racing competition in 1908 king Rama 5 period (AD1908) in the annual athletics competition of the Ministry of Education.

“My name is F as an initiator and conservative of chase racing Thai game which is originate more than 100 years old and it is about to disappear. Even if it is very fun sports but the public and private sectors do not promote and pay attention on it since 2 years ago so, I decided to organized a chase racing competition with over 150 teams from many school joining to make other known that if the competition was held continuously the chase racing would become popularity again. Previously, arrangements spent huge amount of money not less than 1 million baht, I think alone would not be able to hold it soon. So I asked for a donation to raise funds for the continuous arrange the event and competition of chase racing in a league system to achieve sustainability in order to make public and private organizations turned their attention and promoted this kind of Thai game once again. And to promote the widespread chase racing, I have a plan to donate sports equipment: 1. Pillar 2. Relay Race Baton, which is in the past they used a cone or pliiar with cotton instead of relay race baton on often used in the past that makes it look not interesting even though it is a very fun. So I designed to develop the equipment for this game by using the Relay Race Baton , there are only materials made of aluminum and plastic to avoid injury of athletes. I had to produce a light-weight pulp made of Polyurethane (PU Foam) and notso hard to injure if there is a strong hit.

There are 77 provinces in Thailand, I plan to organize a chase racing and donate the equipment to 2 sub-districts per province, which costs more than 5 million baht.

However, if I have successfully followed the plan, the chase racing will definitely become popular again and the main goal is I will eventually make it as a Thai international sport like Muay Thai and Sepak-Takraw, and this is what I can do the best for my country. Even if only me left, I will still do so."

In the past, there was not much government support in the competition and in this day there is no government support them anymore. Most of the expenses in the competition were almost from the private budget of the president of the association. Each competition requires large amount of budget. Therefore, they are unable to continuously organize competition because the budget is insufficient.

Purpose
• To stimulate the consciousness of the Thai people in the preservation of Thai culture, heritage, play or sport.
• To preserve and carry on the traditional Thai game to remain and be popular and more widespread
• To encourage Thai people throughout the country to support the sport of running
