The Story

At the time of pregnancy and delivery everything was fine. I was so happy to have a cute baby boy. He is my first baby.

On the 3rd day after he was born, we went to visit the doctor to follow up. During the exam, the doctor figured out there was a small mass on the right side of his armpit. I was so shocked. I thought it was some kind of fat because he was chubby at the time and the doctor advised us to follow up the mass eveb if he was sure it will disappear when my child will grow up. We then went back home without any treatment.
Our baby was a cheerful and always smiling when looking at us. We were very happy to have him.

When he turned 11 months, we kept noticing that he felt tired and coughing when trying to walk or crawl. We decided to go to the doctor to ask about it. They treated him as a pneumonia patient and he felt better at the time.
Later, his father got worried about that mass being still there and increasing in size. So we went to visit a pediatrician who revealed the shocking truth : my baby had a tumor attached to the chest cavity. He then had to go under a surgery to remove the mass.

The tumor got removed by surgeons and we went home but then, one month later, X-ray exam showed that the tumor regrown again at the same spot.

We just started to build a happy family but our sick child and the incident made us decide to sell some of our stuff and come to Thailand for a better treatment. Our closest friends and family members collected some money to support us for the well-being of our one and only son.
Three months after the surgery, we travelled to Thailand to Vejthani Hospital.
After arriving to the hospital, he stayed at the ICU because he wasn’t breathing well. On the next day, they did a lot of investigation and found out the tumor was a cancer.

It’s a very aggressive cancer that compresses the lungs and the heart. The diagnosis was unsure as his right and half of left lung were invisibles on the X-ray scan. The tumor is covering the chest cavity and also compressing the diaphragm so they advised us to start chemotherapy since the tumor was malignant.
Estimation cost of treatment at the time of admission was the second shocking thing that happened as the required money was way more than our expectancy.

We are losing hope and we start to feel like we are going to lose our first child because we couldn't afford to pay for his hospital bill.

I appeal to all the parents out there : please help us !

Extremely sad to have to announce that the baby died from a rapidly progressing cancer. Doctors were unable to save him. Thank you to those who tried to help.
