Blue Owl Free School

We are a group of volunteers raising funds for Free school. Free school is an amazing community project run by Blue Owl that provides free education to 60 Burmese children in Ban Tai. Many of these children are refugees unable to return due to the ongoing violence in their country. Most of the students have been out of school for several years, and for the younger children, it is their first experience going to school

On the 19th of February, a group of volunteers will be getting together to rehabilitate the Wat Pho football field (in Ban Tai) used by Blue Owl’s Free School for sports and recreational activities for children!

Free school is an amazing community project run by Blue Owl that provides free education to 60 Burmese children in Ban Tai, Koh Phagnan. Many of these children are refugees unable to return due to the ongoing violence in their country. Most of the students have been out of school for several years, and for the younger children, it is their first experience going to school. (https://www.facebook.com/blueowlproject)

Currently, the football field needs a lot of work to make it safer for the kids to play on.

The goalposts need welding, a new coat of paint, and netting. We also need a fence around the field to stop the ball and children from falling into the river next to it.

The cost for the rehabilitation of the field is 25 000Baht.

So far we have received a generous donation from My Silent Disco Club (https://mysilentdisco.club/) of 5000 and Netmender has donated 1800 for the repair of the nets. But we still need 18200 Baht to purchase all the materials needed and make this all possible.

Any donations would be appreciated, no matter how little, every cent counts :)
