On May 17th, a terrible act of arson was committed at Giant Guesthouse, a cherished part of the Pai community and a home away from home for many travelers. Someone intentionally set fire to a bungalow, and the flames spread to the community kitchen, causing around 100,000 baht in damages. This act has hurt not only the buildings but also the heart of a place that has welcomed so many with open arms.

Now is the time for us to come together and support the local Thai community and Mama, the long-time owner and caretaker of Giant. By donating to this fundraiser, you can help rebuild the Giant Guesthouse and restore its role as a sanctuary for everyone who visits this beautiful part of the world. Every contribution helps us repair the damage and shows our unity and resilience as a community. Please share to your network and help us collect all we can to help Mama recover this key part of Pai!

Amazed how fast we could get started with taking in donations for our projects. During this Covid-19 crisis, time is of essence, so we were very happy to find this out of the box solution!
