Bins are now 1,500 Baht. Sorry folks but the cost was more than anticipated. We have 3 bins completed. 1 will go to the Elephant Sanctuary, one to the dog rescue and one to the beach in Bangrak. Stay tuned as the bins are being placed. Again, we make no money from this and we plan on getting them all over the island from responsible owners. Thanks.
We have hit our goal and then some (31,170 Baht!). An enormouse thanks to all who contributed. New campaign coming soon. We need to up the price to 1,500 Baht/bin as the costs were more than I thought. Thanks again everyone.
The bins take time to paint of course. 10 are around the island and another 9 are in waiting. The art work gets better and better. Thank you everyone for your donations thus far. We're going to just keep making them. Starting soon, a special bin will be donated to The Elephant Sanctuary with an elephant theme, of course.
Bin Donations are going well. My Cafe, Bay Water Hotel, Get Beached, Marga Yoga, and Samui Tree House have all received bins. We have also donated bins to Choeng Mon beach, and Hua Thanon (at the very end of the village). We will be supplying the donated bins with trash bags. Thanks to everyone so far for your contributions and donations.
We will be featured in FAI THAI magazine (Bangkok Airways) in May, 2018. Part of magazine story regarding people who are doing good things on Koh Samui).
A Huge Thanks to Susan Field, and Marc, Ben san, and Shane, and those that wish to remain anonymous. With your help, we will get these bins all over the island. They’re a huge hit and interest is growing fast. Our first official order came in from Get Beached (Bangrak, great food, and incredible music). Again, thanks everyone!
We cleaned Hua Thanon yesterday, October 29. We gave all the kids Trash Hero shirts. The best tool so far that I've seen. The kids even made a game of it with "who could collect the most". With your help we can supply the area with trash bins, literature, and signs (Burning Plastic Is Toxic, Don't Litter, in Thai of course,......etc.
