Hi there,

 

We are a group of international friends who have lived in Bangkok for some time now and decided to take quick action in creating a small movement here to support the black community.

 

My name is Maddie Turk, and I am American who has lived in Bangkok for 3 years with my husband who from Bangkok. We love this country and we are heartbroken to see our country, America, being torn apart by racial injustice. I felt the urge to think of a way we could promote and support Black Lives Matter here from Bangkok but while touching globally. With everything going on in the US, we wanted to contribute as much as we could regardless of our distance.

This past Wednesday, June 4th, we made contact with a local mask company, created a design and had 60 masks printed all within 12 hours. Thank you to our sponsors, Nikita, Tori, Tina, Lindsay Janna, and The Turk's for aknowledging their desire to break social injustice. Masks are a great why to not only show your support but to wear it. No one can miss the message. We all felt the urge to create a movement here and contributing to Black Lives Matter charity. All proceeds (excluding local shipping) will be donated to Black Lives Matter  https://blacklivesmatter.com/

Amazed how fast we could get started with taking in donations for our projects. During this Covid-19 crisis, time is of essence, so we were very happy to find this out of the box solution!
