These are unprecedented times.
In light of the current situation, the Rotary Club of Bangkapi has decided to support Operation Laan Rak project.
Funds raised here will be directly sent to Muk & Haakon, the people behind this project, so they can purchase even more masks and pursue their tremendous job with homes for the elderly. Updates will be posted here along the way.
Please find below all the information regarding the said project below:
Homes for the elderly are extremely threatened by the spread of Covid-19 due to the greater risk of sickness among vulnerable older people, and given the proximity of residents in an elderly home.
We have teamed up with a textile factory to make quality masks to donate to homes for the elderly around Thailand. We have already manufactured and delivered 600 masks to two homes.
The masks are made of 3 layers of muslin fabric, which is the fabric endorsed by Thailand's Department of Medical Science (https://www.nationthailand.com/news/30383912), and cost THB 23 per mask. These masks are washable and reusable, making them a worthwhile and trustworthy investment with a lasting impact.
We now need your help to continue making these masks to fight the spread of COVID-19 among our beloved elderly.
Right now it is the elderly who need us most, so please help protect them by donating to help manufacture more masks!
If you are wondering how much to give, these numbers can serve as a guide: THB 230 = 10 masks, and THB 2,300 = 100 masks, and THB 23,000 = 1,000 masks.
As we say in Thai, ดูแลกันและกัน: take care of each other.
Thank you for supporting this cause!...
