Hello Everyone.
My name is Maneesida Hatthakij (Aim). My cousin name, Owen, is almsot 11 years old and she is suffering from Aplastic anemia disease. She in and out of the children's hospital (Queen Sirikit National Institue of Child Health) regularly to receive blood donation or platelet to increase platelet/Lymphocyte to acceptable levels.

Her skin bruises easily and takes a long time to heal. Myself and other relatives need to look after closely to be careful not to let blood come out from anywhere such as her teeth or when she goes to the toilet. Once blood comes out or fever breaks out, we have to drive immediately from Phra Nakon Sri Ayuddhaya to the Children's Hospital (Queen Sirikit National Institue of Child Health)s Hospital (Queen Sirikit National Institue of Child Health) about 5 times in the past 3 months.

The best way to heal this kind of disease is through a stem cell transplant. This costs at least 1-2 millions baht. That is the reason why me and my family need to do fund raising as we cannot afford to pay for the transplant.

Her mother is my little auntie, her name is Katin (single mom). She has 2 kids, a 13 year old boy and my sick niece, Owen, who is alomsot 11 years old.

Katin is a strong and kind woman. She is working as a salesperson for a car company in Prathumthani.

Katin lost about 10 clients last few month because she had no time to take care of them as she had to take her daughter to the children's hospital (Queen Sirikit National Institue of Child Health) for her medical treatment.

Me and one auntie (from Nakon Ratchasima) accompany and help to look after Owen at the children's hospital (Queen Sirikit National Institue of Child Health) and now we still are helping to look after her at home so that her mother (Katin) is able to go to work.

Every Monday Doctor make an appointment my niece to the hospital for health check up and to receive blood donation or platelet to increase platelet/Lymphocyte which depends which kind of blood lower than acceptable levels.

I hope with all my heart that this website can help my cousin so that she can have a normal life where she can play with friends, go to school and live her life in the outside world instead of in a hospital. She is a sweet and kind young girl and I believe that she deserves a future.
