The Story

Rhi-Zone is a non-profit organisation, aiming to empower women through employment and education in Armenia.

Gender inequality is a widespread issue in Armenia, especially in the small town of Dilijan. While the cultural aspect remains a prominent cause, another major contributor is the underemployment. Data released by The World Bank revealed that Armenia's female unemployment rate is as high as 17% in 2017. The following unemployment rate is among one of the highest compared to all other post-Soviet countries. This creates an economic dependency on male family members, likely to increase the chances of of violence and a culture of submission.

Currently, we are collaborating with many talented, Armenian women to produce our products. In order to start our production process, we need your help. Help us improve the lives of the Armenian women in need. Every donation makes a difference!
