During my time in the UK, I regularly participated in charity events, a tradition that has brought me immense joy and purpose. Since moving to Thailand, however, opportunities to contribute in this way have been limited. This Christmas, I’m determined to change that.
Here in Thailand, I’ve gained a bit of a reputation as the “Cat Whisperer.” In the UK, we have a saying: a pet is for life, not just for Christmas. With this in mind, I’ll be raising funds for two incredible cat shelters in Thailand:
PAWS Bangkok
Rawai Animal Lovers
Life in Thailand can be very challenging for our furry friends, many are left to fend for themselves, the shelter and volunteers play a crucial role in caring for them.
To support them, I’ll take on two challenging runs:
8h December: The Kathu Super Mini Marathon – 23km through Phuket’s tropical terrain.
14th December: The 6 Keys Marathon, in collaboration with AIHM. This 42.2km route starts at the Bangkok campus, loops through all six Minor Hotels, and returns to campus. These runs will be an intense test of endurance, facing Thailand’s heat, humidity, and bustling traffic. Every step will be worth it to support these shelters, and I’d be deeply grateful for your support.
My fundraising goal is41,000 THB (approximately £1,000)—that’s 1,000 THB for every kilometer I’ll be running.
Thank you for helping make a difference for these cats in need!
We did it
44km around the streets of Bangkok!
My thanks to all who it made is possible, so many to mention. All the support from the AIHM community, Minor Hotels and friends and family.
Currently across all platforms there is 27,000 raised.
One last push and the target can be met. Please donate whatever you can, ever bath counts!
