Abandoned by My Family During My Final Year of Education

1

The Story

Hello everyone, my name is Bass. Hahaha… and I’m sorry about the picture. I honestly couldn’t think of what kind of image would be suitable for this campaign or what might help people understand my situation.

So, let me get straight to the point.

I am a university student studying at a university in the Buriram area of Thailand. As the title says, I was recently forced to leave my family home.

This situation only happened recently, and I may not be very good at explaining everything, so I sincerely apologize if my story is difficult to understand.

Before I entered university, I had a family who supported me and took very good care of me. However, over the past several months, many things have happened within my family. We had serious arguments, and our home became a place filled with conflict.

My relationship with my mother also became difficult. She has many financial responsibilities, including housing costs, water and electricity bills, medical expenses, and many other necessities.

Around the same time, my mother began experiencing blurred vision. After visiting a doctor, we found out that she has glaucoma and cataracts affecting both of her eyes. Since then, medical bills, transportation costs, and my university tuition have continued to pile up.

Eventually, our financial and family problems became too much for us to handle, and after another serious argument, I was asked to leave home.

Right now, I am staying with a close friend. I also contribute toward the rent, and I don't consider that the biggest problem. The real difficulty is that my income is simply not enough to cover everything I need.

I work as a freelancer rather than having a regular full-time job, and making a stable income this way has been extremely difficult.

Why I am asking for help

One of my biggest problems is transportation.

I don't own a car or a motorcycle, and I don't know how to drive. Because of this, I have to rely on taxis to travel to and from university.

The transportation cost is around 700 THB for a round trip. In a month, I can spend more than 17,000 THB just on transportation.

And that doesn't include food, accommodation, tuition, and other everyday expenses.

Unfortunately, things became even more difficult when my laptop started breaking down.

My laptop currently has several serious problems. The battery has swollen, the LCD screen frequently flickers, and the cooling fan has become slower. When I am working, the laptop sometimes shuts down unexpectedly, causing me to lose my work and start over.

I rely on my laptop for both my studies and freelance work, so having a working computer is extremely important to me.

For that reason, part of my fundraising goal will also go toward getting a replacement device that I can use for university and work.

I know you may wonder:

“What will I get in return for helping you?”

Honestly, I don't have anything valuable that I can give you in return.

I cannot promise anything except my sincere gratitude.

If you decide to support me, even a small contribution would mean a lot. And if you cannot donate, simply sharing this campaign would also help me tremendously.

I am not asking because I want an easy life. I am asking because I want the chance to finish my education, continue working, and eventually become able to support myself.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.

And to everyone who chooses to help me—thank you. Truly.

I hope that wherever you are, you have a happy and peaceful life.

Thank you for reading. ❤️
