Sisters On Samui
The Sisters of Samui have embarked on the ambitious project to upgrade and fully refurbish the Children’s and Maternity wards at the Nathon Hospital. This includes upgrading and replacing old and dilapidated equipments and services throughout. ALL facilities including treatment rooms, Nurses station, linen room, Community Courtyard, toilet and shower facilities and more will be attended to by this refurbishment. To date we have raised money through our Sisters on Samui functions held monthly and now we have requested support in the form of artwork from the Private Schools and Engineering involvement from our supporters in the International Hotels sector. Now we are actively seeking funds and donation of goods to assist with completion of this Community project scheduled to start on Monday the 30th July with completion in September 2018. Please note that 100% of all funds or goods donated go directly to the Project - all input by Sisters on Samui is voluntary!

The Story

Nathon Hospital is a well-run government facility and is heavily attended by the local population as well as many resident expats and tourists.

It is ALWAYS in need of both funding and support.

Following a visit to the Children’s Ward by Sisters on Samui (SOS) to hand out Christmas gifts to the children, SOS were met by dilapidated, dark and unwelcoming surroundings.

We immediately decided to do something about it and provide a bright, cheerful and welcoming environment more conducive to promoting wellness.

Now, 18 months later, following extensive research, architect drawings, the work is about to begin.

We want to create a much improved environment for sick children, for new mums and new babies and visiting families and friends.

Our goal is to raise sufficient funds to fully renovate the following areas:

 7 X Children’s wards

Children’s/mother's treatment room with sterilization area

Labour and Isolation Room with a bathroom

New bedding and pyjamas for all the patients

Covered Relaxation area used by both patients and visitors

Family dining area

Linen supply room

Comfortable and adequate seating for visitors

This is a necessity please help make a healthy environment for locals to be treated in and for new babies to arrive.
