Donate to upkeep a local school

The Story

Wat Ngio Primary School is a rural primary school located in Chai Nat province. It was created in April 1939 and welcomes every year between 40 and 60 pupils from 3 to 12 years old. Classes are taught by 3 permanent professors on classical subjects and 2 volunteers who teach the use of computers and English.
As this is a rural school and the surrounding families have a small income, they can not afford the daily transportation to get to the schools inside the city. For them, it is essential to have a school nearby or their children will not be educated.
Many children here have family problems, often with single parents, sometimes unemployed and sometimes also with drug or alcohol problems. For them, this school is the only place where they have access to an appropriate environment. In this case, the transmission of moral values and the example of appropriate behavior are as essential as formal education itself. It also gives them the opportunity to get out of their environment and be able to support their family in the future.
