Our mission with your help, is to empower young people with the skills they need to succeed in school, work, and life.
We recently tested 500 students at
Kasim Phithaya School. Before covid they had a enrollment of 1700 students. The other 1200 student parents can’t pay for the tuition of 20,000 baht for the term or they move back to the province.
As many as 1.2 million school-age children have dropped out of school or an equivalent of 16 out of every 100 school children, said Attapol Sangkwasi, secretary general of the Education Council. Attapol said factors include poverty, being made orphan, following parents who have to migrate to seek work and lack of equipments to engage in online education as required during COVID-19 pandemic. The abilities of students to read and write have dropped by 30 percent," said Attapol, adding that this will impact the future of these students.
With your help we can get these kids that have the passion back to school and help with books, tuition and uniform - basically anything school/education related so they have passport to a better life. In the last six months with your support, we handed out over one million meals to the slums. This was a short term solution. The long term solution is to educate so they have a better life. Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime. We need your help to do so.
Thank you.
