Urgent Call for Donations to Help an Injured Dog (Current medical expenses are higher than anticipated)
As of July 2, 2024, we urgently need to raise approximately 27,000 THB for the ongoing treatment of a dog that was hit by a car. The dog is currently being transferred to another hospital and requires continuous admission. He has a severe laceration on his left hind leg, involving a major blood vessel, which required over 20 stitches. The treatment includes X-rays, IV fluids, medications, and regular blood tests.
Additionally, the situation is complicated by the dog's pre-existing conditions of blood parasite and heartworm infections. These conditions significantly increase the complexity of his treatment, as they cause low platelet count and anemia. Currently, the vet has indicated that his condition remains critical and that a blood transfusion or platelet-boosting injections might be necessary. This would help speed up the healing process and prevent infection, incurring an additional cost of over 20,000 THB on top of the amount mentioned above.
