Help Ban Rong Rise Again — Nan Flood Recovery 2026

Ban Rong and Pua are much more than places on a map to my family.

My wife was born and raised here. Her family is here, and over the years I have been fortunate enough to make this beautiful part of Nan a part of my own life too. I have spent many happy days here, surrounded by people whose warmth, generosity and hospitality have always made me feel welcome.

Only a few weeks ago, our young son was here, enjoying the simple happiness of being with his grandmother and cousins. Seeing him running around, laughing and spending time with his family gave us memories that we will cherish for a long time.

To now see those same familiar places devastated by the floods is heartbreaking.

Homes and possessions have been damaged or lost. The local school has been affected. The temple, which has long been at the heart of community life, needs help. And among those most vulnerable are elderly residents of the village, many of whom now face the difficult task of recovering from something they could never have prepared for.

I cannot look at what has happened to a community that has given my family so much and simply stand by.

My wife and I have therefore created this campaign to do what we can to help Ban Rong and the surrounding Pua community get back on their feet.

Where your donations will go

We want to concentrate the money raised on three areas where we believe it can make a real and visible difference:

The local temple — helping with the repair and restoration of a place that is an important part of the spiritual, cultural and community life of Ban Rong.

Ban Rong School and its children — helping replace what has been damaged or lost and giving the children a place where they can return to learning and normality.

Elderly and vulnerable residents — providing practical relief to some of the older members of the village whose homes, belongings and daily lives have been badly affected by the floods.

We will work directly with people in the community to understand where help is most urgently needed. We will also share photographs, updates and information about how the funds are being used so that everyone who contributes can see the difference their generosity is making.

We know that we cannot rebuild an entire community overnight, and we cannot replace everything that has been lost.

But we can help.

We can repair a classroom. We can help restore the temple. We can help an elderly neighbour replace some of what the flood took away. And little by little, we can help this wonderful community begin to recover.

Ban Rong has given my wife her roots, given our son a family and a place to belong, and given me years of wonderful memories and genuine friendship.

Now it is our turn to give something back.
