We’re Emma and Tom, a small family living and running our dream tourism business in the beautiful island of Koh Lanta.

I can't believe I am writing this and feel embarrased, but we have some wonderful people in our lives, who I thought I would share with.

What started as a simple dream turned into something truly special - creating meaningful, personal travel experiences and sharing the side of Thailand that we fell in love with. Over the years, we’ve poured everything into this life: our time, our savings, our energy, and our hearts.

This past low season was one of the hardest we’ve faced. Like many small businesses, we’ve been navigating the ups and downs of tourism, holding on and staying hopeful that things would turn around. And just as we began to see a little light ahead… everything changed.

Our boat - the heart of our business, was lost in a sudden and devastating accident.

In a single moment, everything we had worked so hard to build was gone. It’s been incredibly difficult to process, not just financially, but emotionally too. That boat wasn’t just equipment, it was our livelihood, our independence, and a huge part of the experiences we created for our guests.

Since then, it’s been a time of uncertainty, sleepless nights, and a lot of hard conversations about what comes next. But one thing we know for certain is that we’re not ready to walk away from this dream.

Instead, we’re choosing to rebuild - slowly, thoughtfully, and in a way that feels even more meaningful than before.

We’re shifting towards a more sustainable and personal approach to tourism: private island experiences, carefully selected accommodations, small-group and intimate activities, cooking classes, and genuine local connections. The kind of travel that feels real, relaxed, and full of heart.

To make this next chapter possible, we do need some support.

The funds raised will help us through this immediate period, covering essential living costs, easing the financial pressure, and allowing us to rebuild our business in a stable and responsible way. It will give us the space to start again, without losing everything we’ve worked for.
