Breaking The Poverty Cycle Through Education One Child at a Time. Right to Learn Foundation is Southern Thailand’s first licensed charity. With your help, we can build quality schools, provide better learning resources and supply integral student and teacher education programs for existing schools. Most importantly, we can relieve students and their families from the burden of poverty holding generations of children back from learning. We supply food relief for families suffering during Covid-19 on the island of Koh Tao, including impoverished Thai and Myanmar people.

We Really Need Your Help on Koh Tao

Koh Tao has been hit hard by the loss of business. The island is empty of tourists, and our community is suffering financially. Our large population of Myanmar migrant families are going hungry without work. Local Thai families have had to shut their businesses, and savings are gone. The Right To Learn Foundation (southern Thailand's first licensed charity) is setting up a free soup kitchen (Meals on Wheels) with the support of the iconic InTouch Resort and Restaurant. Large pots of Thai soups will be available to anyone in need with rice and noodle options. While restrictions are in place we will be delivering packaged meals to village homes.

We hope to do the soup kitchen 1 to 3 times a week, depending on the funding we can raise. We expect to have at least 100-200 hungry souls each week.

Staff from Portobello Restaurant Koh Tao will assist with cooking and serving and Koh Tao International Primary School staff. We will be updating our social media and this page with videos and pictures so donors can see the impact their money is making on our small community.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions in Suratthani province, we have had to change our soup kitchen to packaged meals on wheels. All food will be delivered to the doors of villagers in need until things relax a bit more in the area.
