Hi Friends,

My name is Sital and I am helping raise funds for my helper's sister's escalating blood cancer treatment costs in Burma.

Thwe Hlaing is a young 19 year old and has been the sole caretaker of her sick mother and her sister's young 2 year old son. Her sister works for me in Bangkok and is the only earner for her family ( her mother, her sister, her son and herself).

Thwe Hlaing has been healthy her whole life. She is active and loves taking care and playing with her nephew. However, a few months ago she started heavy bleeding from her vagina. She assumed it was just her monthly period but the bleeding did not stop for weeks. She got progessively weaker and after many examinations, tests and many months of bleeding we now know she has blood cancer.

She has started her chemotheraphy and has regular blood tranfusions. All of my helper's salary goes towards her sister's treatment and hospital stay. They have had to seek treatment in Mandalay, many hours away from their home, as smaller hospitals cannot treat her. 

I recently contacted an organisation ( Mandalay Sikh Youth )in Burma to check in on the family to make sure they have food and shelter whilst they are in Mandalay and that has been handled. This organisation also looked at all reports, spoke to doctors and the family to ascertain the needs of the family and the costs. It costs 450USD per blood transfusion which she needs every 3 days for at least a 1-2months. This does not include the hospital stay or the chemotherapy treatment.

I am seeking to raise funds to to cover the costs of the blood transfusion whilst I will help my helper with other costs like chemo, hospital stay etc.

I am humbly requesting for your help to get this beautiful young girl back to health so she can continue her life and continue taking care of her mother and her nephew who love  and miss her dearly.

The first 34k Baht has been given to cover the costs of 2 blood transfusioons and the transport from the village to the hospital in mandalay and back.
