My name is Heidi Oxley-Whitnell, and I am the CAS & Service Learning Coordinator at UWC Thailand International School. Over the past four years, our students have had the privilege of working closely with All for Villages, an organization dedicated to community development.
Now, our students are determined to make a lasting impact by supporting the fundraising and construction of a bridge for the Moken Village on Koh Payam. This bridge is crucial for the safety, education, and well-being of the Moken community.
We believe in the power of education and the importance of giving back to those in need. Our students have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by the Moken children and families due to the lack of a reliable bridge. They have seen the dedication and resilience of the Moken people, and they want to make a difference.
Donating to our cause, you will directly contribute to constructing a sturdy and safe bridge, providing the Moken Village with essential access to education, healthcare, and primary resources. You will empower these incredible individuals to build a brighter future for themselves and their children.
Join us in supporting our students as they take action and create positive change. Your generosity will help fund the bridge and provide our students with a valuable learning experience in empathy, community service, and global citizenship.
Together, we can make a difference and transform the lives of the Moken Village on Koh Payam. Donate today and be a part of this incredible journey. Let's build a bridge to a better future!
UPDATE - Fiona has talked with an engineer, and if we can raise 600,000bht, we can build a steel bridge; this would last longer and be safer .... this is a big jump from the initial 200,000bht but with your support we can make it happen.
