On March 28, 2025, a devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, shaking the nation to its core. The destruction is widespread—over 144 people have lost their lives, more than 730 are injured, and countless homes and buildings have collapsed. In a country already struggling with civil war, this disaster has made an already dire situation even worse.

Entire villages have been reduced to rubble. Families have been left without shelter, food, or medical aid. Communications are down, and survivors are in desperate need of help. The junta has made a rare plea for international assistance, a sign of how catastrophic this disaster truly is.
