The Story

I am asking for help so my younger brother and I can stay in our current home.

We are four months behind on rent, and if we cannot pay what we owe soon, we will have to move out.

For the past five years, I have been recovering from serious trauma after leaving an abusive home. My health has made it difficult for me to work consistently and earn a stable income. Over time, unpaid rent, living expenses, and unstable income caused debt to build up.

There is an emergency shelter available for children under 18, but i would not allowed to stay there with my brother because i'm 28Y. Serious concerns were raised about a shelter in my area a few years ago, so I do not feel comfortable sending him there alone.

My main goal is to keep us safe and housed and to make sure my brother can continue attending school without disruption.
