มูลนิธิเรดิออน อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล
RADION International is a Christian relief & development organisation, providing both short term relief assistance, as well as long term developmental support for vulnerable and needy communities. Our key programmes include child-rescue, community development and crisis relief. RADION was started in 2007 by 2 Singaporeans with a call to serve communities in places where few or none would go. Eugene Wee and his friends were Singaporean. They came to be a volunteer at a foundation in Chiang Mai. He was involved in an activity at the Hmong Lao Evacuation Center in Huai Nam Khao Village. Due to crowded living conditions and difficulties, children lacking nutrition, not having the opportunity to study and live without a future. Therefore, had the vision to help those Hmong Lao. Both of them founded RADION Foundation in Singapore to find a budget to support Thailand. Later, they both realized that in the Khek Noi community. There is a large Hmong community that still has social problems in many areas, which has not yet been taken seriously to solve such problems as women being abandoned or abused by their husbands, drug problems of school-aged children, problems of the elderly that lack of caregivers, etc. The foundation surveyed and found that there were many problems that needed healing, so they decided to establish a foundation in Thailand on April 24, 2009 with the headquarters in Chiang Mai. And field office at Khek Noi Village. And initiating various projects to help the community. “RADION” stands for RADIATING MISSIONS, with the first 3 letters and the last 3 letters of these words, encapsulating what we truly believe as an organisation; that every life matters.

The Story

Due to this, young children are not yet able to take care of themselves. Therefore, the carer must be the person who takes care of the cleanliness of the clothes, bedding set, and towel. That's why we need a washing machine and drying area for clean clothes. For healthy in children for 50 vulnerable children in Khek Noi Subdistrict, Khao Kho District, Phetchabun Province

After exploring the Khek Noi community, Khao Kho District, Phetchabun Province. It was discovered to be an area with significant drug issues. Consequently, there are issues with crime, violence, and family issues are constants. Over 16 years at the Radion International Foundation working with underprivileged groups. Throughout the rescue mission, we discovered that there are still many children at risk and waiting for help. Because no child should have to face this loneliness alone. And we believe that when we pull them out of this risky environment, they will be able to see a ray of hope and dare to dream like other children. For this reason, we started the "StreetKIDS" programme. Focusing on a child rescue and recovery shelter for victims of abuse, survivors of violence and children from high risk backgrounds. This residential programme cares for children between the ages of 5-21 years old, and aims to help each child recovery holistically - mentally, physically and emotionally. Each child is assigned to a trained counselor, and their journey towards recovery is supported by a team of caregivers and mentors. Beyond providing a safe shelter and education, we believe in nurturing these lives so they can emerge, to be a blessing to others.

Each year, 8-10 additional children from high risk backgrounds will join our programme. Initially, these newly arrived will be under the care of the shelter in Phetchabun that provides care for children between the ages of 5-12 years that focuses mainly with caring for and healing their body. They are still too young to take care of themselves. Whether it's about food or eating, basic self-care and physical hygiene include the cleanliness of clothing, bedding, and towels used in daily life. We have 3 caregiver who care for all of these children. Particularly in terms of clothing washing. a bed bedding set and plenty of children's towels. Currently, our shelter is in Phetchabun. There is only 1 washing machine, which is not enough for the increasing number of children. One child not only gets one extra set of clothes but also more clothes, sweaters, school uniforms, socks, pillowcases, sheets, blankets, towels, and other daily necessities. Especially during the rainy season, when there's the problem of drying clothes. The cloth dries slowly. Including the problem of smelly clothes which affects the health of children. Due to children's still-low levels of immunity. If the clothes are not clean, Dry clothes without drying them. or has a musty smell, it will quickly lead to the growth of germs. There is a risk of mold developing if there is moisture in the fabric. Including towels and bedding that are breeding grounds for dust mites and germs that need to be cleaned frequently. Otherwise, it can be another cause that affects children's health.

Consequently, we would like to lessen the carer's workload and improve these children's health with clean clothes. It will help promote healthy immunity in children. impacting the child's mental recovery as well. It likewise reduces the chance of allergies in children and helps avoid germs, but it also helps children feel healthier and radiate more confidence. This time, we hope to raise the necessary funds to purchase three more washing machines, which will allow carers to handle more laundry at once. Reduce laundry time and spend the spare time on our children's other needs. Such as preparing lessons, teaching homework, cooking, etc. Include designs to expand the original building on a 25 x 5 sqm plot located in front of the shelter to create a clothes drying facility with an awning roof. Also during the rainy season, it serves as a place to dry clothing and protect them from the elements. And helps in clothing protection when sunlight is strong. There might also be a rainproof and sun-protective pathway for children who need to get to dining areas and classrooms.
