All That Is Not Given Is Lost
This is Dr David, Director and Founder of Where There Is No Doctor Organization, operating in the hill tribe communities in northern Thailand, border with Myanmar.
Right now I am raising funds for Myanmar war victims and internal displaced people that are hiding along Thai-Myanmar border and refuge in the jungle, lacking adequate food, shelter, sanitation and medical care.
More than 13 months after overthrowing a democratically elected government, the Myanmar junta has intensified its war against the people of Myanmar. The military has escalated its indiscriminate attacks against civilians using jet fighters, attack helicopters and heavy artillery, and soldiers have burned entire villages to the ground. Civilians and combatants have been tortured, raped, executed and used as human shields.
The number of inernally displaced people (IDPs) in Myanmar has doubled since February of last year, now crossing the 900,000.
“Now is not the time for more rhetoric, it is time for meaningful action”,
The IDPs and war victims are in need of water-proof tops, medicine, rice, edible oil, salt, rations, mosquito nets, pads, baby utensils and water storage materials.
This is a life-saving support and is so urgent as the war victims are in great sufferings with no adequate access to humanitarian aid with very little concern and interest of international communities.
Any bit of your contribution will save a lots of lives otherwise the sick, wounded and hungry will perish in their sufferings.
Once again thank you so much.
