Mark (Sticky) has suffered a fall in which he hit his head causing Traumatic Brain Injury. Mark spent 3 weeks in the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital Intensive Care Unit. His first week was in a coma during which he had a tube inserted into his skull to drain pressure from the brain. The next two weeks in ICU was for observation and recovery.
Sticky has now been moved to a long term care facility.
He continues to have lost substantial cognitive brain function and has also not recovered use of his right leg and is currently wheelchair bound. Although he has made significant progress, long term it is still unknowable how long his complete recovery could take.
The intention is to move Sticky back to the familiar surroundings of his house and family to enhance brain function recovery. This will require home care medical staff services.
We have been unable to submit any insurance claims, as a proper police report must be submitted by the injured and eyewitnesses. Sticky has not yet recovered the mental faculties to complete this required paperwork.
Mark's wife is not gainfully employed, and the family has no income.
Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.
