Vision Statement – What we aim to do
To create a range of pork products from animals that are allowed to live & grow in a healthy & harmonious environment
Mission Statement – How we achieve it
Love the Taste, Hate the Waste!
MOOTOPIA is founded on the principle that our business model reflects modern, sensible farming principles showing respect for the animal’s welfare and the environment. All decisions will be based on that principle.
Hi, I am Ashley and I have been in Thailand since 2004. For all that time I have been working to support the education of Thai students in International and Government schools in Bangkok, Rayong and other provinces.
I have now retired from teaching and initiated a unique organic, free-range, pasture-fed farming project which, I believe, is the first in Thailand.
ALL money raised will be ploughed into the Grunts Farm project, developing a range of environmentally friendly projects designed to be easy on the land and tasty on the plate. I want to spread the word and encourage others to develop similar schemes that treat animals in a thoroughly humane way and develop the land in a sensitive eco-friendly way.
Please help me to succeed. Because by succeeding I will be able to manage this project to its fruitful conclusion and continue to stay in this beautiful country.
I arrived back on Grunts Farm in October after a wonderful albeit long holiday in the UK. The grass had gone wild and the bananas were struggling. After a few weeks I have now tamed the main Lawn area and Farm Produce field. The Cherry trees have been saved and I am now working on getting the Cool Room tiled and fitted for electricity and water. The Blue perimeter fencing for the pigs and goats is well on its way and I hope to finish that by the New Year.
The Mootopia Project continues to grow and develop. I have now added a Cool Room to the lower floor of Cooper's Cabin to be able to cool, store and hang my charcuterie products. The first cycle of little Black Pigs was a great success and we will look to purchase another 2-3 in March 2023. The two goats are doing well and are well suited to the pasture land. We are also considering a purchase of 2-3 more goats to help keep the pasture in good shape. The two I have Toenail and Bleat are fussy eaters.
