Hi people. My name is Chris, an ex-pat from England, and I am engaged to marry a Thai woman farmer, shortly here, in Thailand. I have become a resident of this fine land and have chosen Nong Hong as my home. The Thai people have made me so welcome here.

After an accident that left me with a broken back and right hip, the local Thai people showed such concern for my future welfare that it was touching. I feel it is within my power to help them and thank them for the concern shown.

I have already bought, with my own money, 13 rai of farmland and had it converted into 13 separate rice paddy fields in Nong Hong to be leased to the local community. But have run out of my own money to complete the project.

I need to request donations of 6 million Baht to complete the project. I need to place self-contained living quarters on each rai of land and make provision for the seeding of each rai to give the farmers a fresh start to their farming projects, and to give ongoing support for the first year of operation.

It is important to me to see families reconciled through independence and the ability to provide for themselves and to show that they are not alone in their endeavors. They did not leave me alone to face my ongoing endeavors.
