Send Thailand's Voice to WorldPride Human Rights Conference 2026

1

The Story

It is about representing those who have never had the opportunity to stand on an international stage and share their experiences directly with global decision-makers.

At the WorldPride Human Rights Conference, policymakers, donors, researchers, advocates, and international leaders will be listening.

I want to ensure that Thailand's voice is part of that conversation.

Why I Need Your Support

Although I have been selected as a speaker, the conference's travel scholarship fund has already been fully allocated.

As a result, I must independently raise the funds necessary to participate in this important international event.

Your support will help cover:

✈️ Round-trip airfare between Thailand and the Netherlands

Send Thailand's Voice to the WorldPride Human Rights Conference 2026

When a Transgender Man from Thailand Is Invited to Speak on a Global Human Rights Stage

If you had asked me a few years ago, I would never have imagined that one day the story of a child growing up in a society that did not fully understand transgender people would lead to an invitation to speak at one of the world's largest human rights conferences.

My name is Naphat Krutthai.

I am a transmasculine activist from Thailand.

In 2026, I was selected as a speaker at the WorldPride Human Rights Conference in Amsterdam, the Netherlands—one of the world's leading platforms bringing together activists, academics, policymakers, human rights defenders, and changemakers from across the globe.

What makes this opportunity even more meaningful is that I have been invited to contribute to discussions on two critical global issues:

Marriage Equality – The Steps Ahead

Thailand recently made history by becoming the first country in Southeast Asia to legalize marriage equality.

But an important question remains:

What comes next after the dream becomes reality?

At the conference, I will share Thailand's journey with a global audience—our achievements, our challenges, and the work that still lies ahead to ensure that equality is not only recognized in law, but experienced in everyday life.

LGBTQI+ Mental Health Solutions

While many countries have made significant legal progress, countless LGBTQI+ people continue to face stress, isolation, discrimination, and mental health challenges.

Drawing from my work on LGBTQI+ mental health in Thailand and across the Asia-Pacific region, I will exchange experiences and insights with experts from around the world to explore practical solutions that can help LGBTQI+ people live safer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.

───

This Is Not Just My Journey

This journey is about much more than one individual.

It is about bringing the stories of people from Thailand.

It is about carrying the voices of Thailand's LGBTQI+ communities.

It is about representing transgender and transmasculine people whose experiences are too often overlooked.

It is about ensuring that the voices of those who have never had the opportunity to stand on a global stage are heard in spaces where policymakers, funders, and international leaders are listening.

Why I Am Asking for Your Support

Although I have been selected as a speaker, all available travel scholarships provided by the conference organizers have already been allocated.

As a result, I must independently raise the funds necessary to attend and represent Thailand at this important global event.

Your contribution will help cover:

✈️ Round-trip airfare between Thailand and the Netherlands
