The Story

On 19th December 2023, had happened tragic road accident. Mr Artur Kostenko, 28 years old, had been hitted by taxi driver at a very high speed. Mr. Artur was about to start driving at crossroads while taxi driver continue riding on a red light.

There happened terrible crash, that left Mr. Artur with many injuries all over his body and in life threatening condition: broken spine in several places, broken skull in several spaces, pierced lungs with pneumothorax, ripped neck, legs, arms, hands and many others injuries.

Only thanks to his friends, who happened to be nearby crash, it was possible to save his life and get him first emergency treatment. However, threat to his life was present and he was transferred to Bangkok to had many surgeries on his broken spine and pierced lungs.

There Mr. Artur spent 37 days in ICU (intensive care unit for patients with life threatening conditions). 37 days of pain, suffering and daily uncertainty about what tomorrow will bring. He had underwent 5 difficult surgeries and, finally, his situation became stable.

Unfortunately, his spinal cord has faced severe damages and Mr. Artur has been left paralyzed (no feelings, no movements at all) from his chest and below. So after this, had became exhausting physical therapy with hope for restoring his lost body functions.

Until today, Mr. Artur is doing all possible exercises and treatments to achieve his new life dream - Walking Again. Despite his incredible efforts, for the whole year, it clearly obvious now that his body is not able to do it on its own and needs some external help, push to achieve this new dream.

Mr. Artur needs special treatment to give his body extra resources to repair spinal cord nerves to be able to feel his body again and move it. This treatment is possible and available in Bangkok. However the price is high. After one year of high monthly bills for all medical treatment Mr. Artur’s family doesn’t has enough money to afford this treatment. That is why we’re asking all caring people to help Mr. Artur in his difficult and tragic situation.

Moreover, justice hasn’t come to Mr. Artur’s family. Criminal case against taxi driver was closed, due to reason that Mr. Artur during his hospital stay didn’t received letter and didn’t showed up to police department. Civil court process is still going and it seems that it will take years to reach any reasonable point.

Mr. Artur is not left on his own in this fight against all damages and sufferings after accident. Facing incredible difficulties on daily basis.
