The Story

For the current Rotary year, our Club has received 5 requests from schools in the central district of this Province for assistance in providing clean drinking water for their students. However, the Club has decided to find funds to help install a reliable water purification system in Ban Huay Nam Phu School, with 301 students from Kindergarten to Junior High School and 23 staff. The school, like other schools in the outlying regions of the Province, relies on water piped from the village water system for non consuming purposes. At present the schools buy bottled water to sell to their students and has also installed water dispensers in various areas of the school.

The water purification system to be installed is a standardised RO System that has proved efficient in other schools that our Club had donated.

The Total cost for one system, a housing, 2-3 tanks and a wash basin costs BHT 260,000 or approximately US$8,000.
