My name is Gary and I’m kindly asking for support to help Rose Weatherill back to full health after a tragic car accident which killed her son and husband.
Rose is really fighting for her life in Thailand and we need to give her as much support as we can.
Her son David married his beautiful wife back in 2006 and raised her two children as his own.
David’s elderly mother and father came out to Thailand to spend some time with David, his wife and children.
On April 21st, after a day out at Surat Thani their pick up truck was involved in an accident with a lorry and trailer unit.
Mrs Weatherill’s injuries included a broken pelvis, fractured ribs and spine, plus chest compression and head trauma.
Her husband Arthur, 81, and son David, 54, died from their injuries.
Rose was rushed to Surat Thani Hospital after the crash, where she stayed for 11 days before being moved to Bangkok Hospital, Phuket, which is closer to where David’s wife lives.
In addition to the injuries Rose suffered, she has had operations to remove bed sores and has been given a tracheotomy to assist her breathing.
Any money raised will be used to help pay the rising medical costs, which at present are close to 400,000THB.
Should there be any monies left over from the final medical bill then the outstanding amount will be donated to another worthy cause.
I have known Dave and his family for many years, he was always willing to help others, now it’s his friends turn to try and help his family.
Back in England we are raising money to help with cost of have a nurse attend to Rose 24/7 and also help reduce the size of the medical bill.
In advance, I would like to thank the Weeboon Community for any help that they can offer.
We would not only be helping Rose but also a Thai family who, through no fault of their own, are now facing the prospect of huge medical bills to cover the cost of this ladys treatment.

Rose has recently had a few visits to assess her condition with a view to get her transferred to a UK hospital.
Things are looking positive for a possible transfer sometime in the near future. Since her stay in hospital those of us in the UK have been paying for a 24/7 carer which has made a huge difference to Rose's improvement. We are still fund raising to help with her overall medical costs and the generous amount raised on this site has enabled us to pay for a further two months of round the clock care.
I would like to thank everyone for their generous donations to help this lady back to full health, every single Baht has been gratefully recieved. Rose will one day be made aware of the help from those outside of her own group of friends and family.
Thank you everyone.
Wishing you all a long, happy and healthy life.
Gary
Latest update for Rose... She is continuing to improve but she still has the tracheotomy fitted so is unable to talk. We have paid for 24/7 nursing care which has helped to start with the healing of the huge bed sores as she is now being regularly turned. Thank you to everyone who has kindly donated to this site. She is aware of all the support she has received from her close friends and from the strangers who have been generous in their own way.
We are still continuing with our fund raising back in the UK and will continue to do so until we can get her medical bills completely paid.
