Bethany Home for Children and Youth

Bethany Home is a 43 year-old home for the children and youth from different places in the Kingdom of Thailand based in Wangsaphung District of Loei Province. It was founded by Finnish missionaries which started by caring for three children until it grew up to 300 in a colorful and warm Bethany Home. Since the founders are now aged and went back to Finland, Bethany Home is now under the management of Nexus Foundation, a duly-registered non-government organization in Thailand which caters individuals, families and communities through sustainable development efforts. The Story

Bethany Home for Children and Youth is now under the management of Nexus Foundation. Bethany Home has been serving marginalized, underprivileged, abandoned, abused and children at-risk to human trafficking for more than 40 years.

Children at the home receive warm food, proper clothing, medical and dental check ups, spiritual care and are sent to local government schools for formal education. Bethany Home makes sure that children are safely sent to and picked up from the school daily with a pick-up truck turned into a school bus.

Currently, we are trying to campaign for a new service truck to be used for sending the children to school daily. The truck that Bethany Home uses today is more than 10 years old and has been through a number of repairs and overhauling. It is not safe anymore. The truck full of Bethany children could just breakdown or worse could crash while on the road. It is a picture of the home's daily activity which we don't want to see in any one of the days. We want to make sure that the children arrives to school and gets back home safely riding the home bus.
