TCDF is a small foundation with a special school for children with special needs hidden in the jungle around Paksong village, close to coastal border town Ranong, Thailand.

At TCDF children get the medical care and education they need. There is a school car that pick’s them all up in the surrounding mountain villages and brings them to the forest school every day where they focus on:

Daily life skills

Physical therapy

Basic education

Occupational training

Al these programs are aimed to support and enable the children to be able to take care of themselves as much as possible when they grow up. Even though Thailand is a fast developing country and medical care and education are quite well organized, there is little to no support for children and people with disabilities, especially in the countryside.

For more than a decade TCDF has been making a difference in the lives of hundreds of children in need and offered free education to thousands of kids!

In the mean time the villagers, parents and team of TCDF have invested in creating self generating income with a big organic farm en by welcoming visitors to the farm & community Learning Center. They have planted hundreds of trees, are running a mushroom, chicken, fish and vegetable farm, opened a health food restaurant and there are riverside bungalows where visitors can stay. 100% of the profit of all these initiatives go towards the forest school in order to become sustainable on a local level, not only for food, also for finance so the school has a future and so do the kids!

However at this point in time funds are not sufficient jet. To make sure that in the next three years (time expected to become fully self-sufficient on a local level) TCDF can continue supporting children in need we ask for your help.  And to please share this call for help to any one you know who might help this small, honest and already proven life changing initiative!

Good to know:

1. TCDF has been changing the lives of hundreds of children for more than 15 years: it works!

2. At TCDF 100% of donations are used for the children in terms of Medical care and education and not used for overhead costs such as management, marketing, offices in the city.

3. Only local people get paid and work with the children to create a safe, long term relationship

4. No religious motivation

5. Finances are exact to the last cent and completely open to the public.

6. You can always personally contact the founding director with any questions, remarks and ideas.
