A Message to Our Thai Brothers and Sisters
Thailand and Myanmar are not merely neighbors sharing a border. We share centuries of history, culture, and the deep bond of Theravada Buddhism. The people of Myanmar, like the people of Thailand, believe in dignity, freedom, and the right to determine their own future. Since the military coup of February 2021, the people of Myanmar have endured immense suffering, airstrikes on villages, arbitrary arrests, torture, and the silencing of an entire generation's dreams. Many Myanmar people living and working in Thailand today carry this pain with them every day, far from their families and homeland.

The fighters in the Burmese spring revolution are ordinary people, teachers, students, farmers, and workers, who chose to stand up rather than kneel down. They protect civilians with whatever resources they have. Right now, something as simple as a helmet or a bulletproof vest can be the difference between life and death for one of these defenders.

Why This Matters to Thailand
A stable, free, and democratic Myanmar is good for Thailand. Continued conflict means more refugees, more instability along shared borders, and more suffering for people who are, in many ways, your closest neighbors. Supporting the people of Myanmar is not just an act of compassion; it is an act of solidarity between peoples who understand what it means to fight for a better future.

You do not need to be a soldier to contribute to this struggle. A single donation, however small, helps put a helmet on the head of someone standing between a military junta and a civilian family.
